  • They are made according to the old and tested recipe of Grandmother Emma.
  • When I was a little girl I spent every holiday at my Grandparent’s house. For a long time I have been afraid to sleep by myself in the attic room where Grandmother furnished a little nest for me. I complained that it is too dark and that was what made me afraid. However, Grandmother Emma had a cure for this as well. She kneaded the dough for tender biscuits shaped like stars out of flour, butter, sugar and hazelnuts that grew on a nearby hazelnut bush. Having baked them she dipped them in the Gorenjka chocolate and said: “Well, these stars will brighten up the night for you so that you will not be afraid.” And indeed I wasn’t, even though I sometimes told a lie to my Grandmother that I was, just so she made the fire for hazelnut stars.
